Jason Ferrugia’s Help for Middle Age

Monday, July 25th, 2011

The Dictionary describes middle age between the ages of 45-65. But when so many people are in this age bracket, it doesn’t seem that old any longer. In our youth, 10-20 push-ups were a breeze, now it’s more an impossibility…or is it. Middle age doesn’t have to be the end of our fitness lives. There are two books out there by Jason Ferruggia, on is titled: The Renegade Recipe Guide. This book has 134 recipes to combat the middle-aged spread. The other book, muscle gaining secrets, explains how nutrition, mental health, and exercise can help the flabbiest of us “in our prime.”

Aging, we lose flexibility, strength, and muscle mass. Our skin loses its elasticity and our hearts have to work harder as we gain an extra percentage of fat around our middle. Statistics show that roughly 100,000 people die daily due to aging processes like cancer and heart disease. More are hospitalized or wind up in skilled nursing facilities due to related causes.

There are few reasons to “let ourselves go” physically and many reasons to the contrary.
