Public support and community involvement is essential for coral reef protection. This LAS focuses on increasing public awareness of coral reef ecosystems and their relation to Guam's watersheds, through innovative environmental education and outreach efforts.

The Environmental Education Committee (EEC) of the Watershed Planning Committee (WPC) has served as the coordinating body of this LAS. The EEC consists of representatives from local and federal government agencies, non-governmental organizations, private businesses, educators, and concerned citizens.
